The purpose of this ministry is to share your faith and to be a friend. We want our invitation to share in this outreach to be a blessing and not a problem. We are all members of God's family and whatever you do reflects on all of us. Please follow the rules so we can retain the integrity of this program.
| VISITS: a. Correctional Facilities require your full name and address to be on the Inmates visiting list. We do not encourage you to do this. |
PACKAGES:
Please do not send packages . The Inmates have needs but our focus is to encourage them in their walk with the Lord. Packages takes the focus off of this and onto material things. It opens the door for further requests. |
a.) If you choose, Christmas and birthday packages may be an exception. If you decide to send a package on special occasions, please check with your Inmate. There's rules on packages and what is allowed to go in. Ask for a package list. |
b.) Stamps are not allowed. Magazines (Not over 3 months old),soft covered books, bookmarks, encouragement cards(not plastic coated), will go in most places. |
c.) Do not send ANYTHING without checking with your inmate or facility. They do not return items so you both lose. If you send things without checking you may lose it as they will not return it. Do not use stickers or scotch tape on your letters. Most places will not allow the letter in. |
a.) Do not become involved or counsel Inmates concerning their cases. This includes writing letters to parole boards or attorneys. Never send money for financial support, legal fees, sign or cosign a loan, process money orders or become involved in any financial or business venture. |
b.) When they come up for parole, they need an address. DO NOT give them your address to use. We have a list for some areas that will help them. |
c.) On special occasions, money orders, $10.00 or less are allowed. Use only your first name and Romans address, on it. Do not send a check or cash. |
